Finance Manager – HRA Support

Finance Manager
6 month initial contract
South West LA
£40.04 per hour
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working (3 days per week onsite)

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in reviewing and redrafting the budget for the housing service, ensuring full compliance with Local Government Housing Legislation. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to develop a robust financial framework for the area.

Your Role as Finance Specialist:

• Lead the review and redrafting of the Housing Revenue Account budget.
• Ensure financial planning aligns with Local Government Housing Legislation.
• Provide expert insights and recommendations on financial strategies.
• Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager and other stakeholders.

Your Previous Experience as Finance Specialist:

• Extensive experience in Local Government finance, specifically Housing Revenue Accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Local Government Housing Legislation and its application.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Relevant finance degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Membership of a professional accounting body (desirable).
• Experience working in Local Government finance.
