Finance Director, Bristol, OTE £80K, part remote

Reporting to the CEO, we are hiring for a Finance Director to join the team here at Baltimore Consulting as a board member.

Your role as the Finance Director will have overall responsibility for our company’s financial health through managing all accounting, financial control functions, establishing a strong financial strategy for the profitable long-term growth of the business.

Purpose of the Finance Director:

  • Oversee, review, and adhere to budgets.
  • Budgetary planning
  • Ensure financial practices are inline with legislation and regulations.
  • Provide financial support and advice to aid key business decisions.
  • Review, identify and implement robust business processes, efficiencies, and cost saving measures.
  • Drive extensive, sustainable growth with the goal of EBIT/operating profits being met.
  • Support the CEO and Associated board advisors with strategy around confidential projects.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all managers and leaders are trained accordingly to support growth.
  • Direct and control internal finance employees to ensure they are motivated and able to carry out their duties to the required standard.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of legislation to ensure a strong market position.
  • Attend board meetings and report on operational/financial activities.

 

Your experience as a Finance Director

  • CCAB qualified and experience of leading a finance department.
  • Degree in accounting, business finance or related field
  • High level of Excel and financial systems competency
  • Excellent stakeholder and change management skills
  • If you currently or have previous worked in the recruitment industry sector this would be advantageous but not essential
  • Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting
  • Have experience of GP reconciliation.
  • TAX/VAT submissions
  • Cash allocations
  • Financial Audit
  • Spend analysis.
  • Budget setting, business legislation and governance
