Estates Service Manager
South Coast
Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)
£400 – 500 (DoE)

3 month initial contract

Reporting into the Head of Service – Assets and Property, you will lead the Estates Team, managing the council’s estate portfolio, driving income generation, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will have significant experience in estate management and Strategic Planning, collaborating on the Strategic Asset Management Plan for the Council.

Your role as Estates Service Manager:

  • Lead and manage the Estates Team: Manage a team of 3
  • Professional Advice: Provide expert advice on estate management matters.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the Estates Budget.
  • Income Generation: Improve and maximize income from the estate.
  • Asset Management: Undertake asset acquisitions, valuations and lettings.
  • Tenant Relations: Supervise rent reviews, tenant enquiries, and lease agreements.
  • Housing Stock: Portfolio of over 100 properties

Your previous experience as Estates Service Manager:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate on the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Ensure properties comply with HSE legislation and lease terms.
  • Handle property transactions, rent reviews, lease renewals, service charges, asset valuations and more.
  • Provide updates and reports to senior management.
  • Degree level or RICS qualified.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in leading estate management.
  • Proven experience within a Local Authority setting.
