We are looking for a Part-Time/Full-time Enforcement Officer to join our Commercial Services Team on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for an experienced food safety professional looking to work around other commitments while contributing to essential food hygiene enforcement.

About the Role

• Conduct food hygiene inspections across 60-100 businesses by March 2025.
• Inspect predominantly Category D premises, with some Category C inspections.
• Produce inspection reports and issue risk ratings.
• Where required, draft additional reports and letters (with extra payment).

What We’re Looking For 
Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications

• Higher or Advanced Certificate in Food Premises Inspection (Environmental Health Registration Board) OR
• Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Health (or equivalent)
• Additionally, you should have:
• At least 20 hours of CPD annually, including 10 hours in Regulatory Food Safety Inspections
• Relevant experience in food hygiene enforcement
• Ability to provide evidence of competency (CV, qualifications, CPD record, and ideally a competency assessment document)
