Job Title: EHC Officer (SEN Case Officer)
Location: Midlands Local Authority (fully remote)
Rate: £280-£320 per day (inside IR35)
Contract length: Initial 3 months interim (high probability of extension)
Interviews: Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th February
 
Job Overview:

We are currently seeking three experienced EHC Officers to join the team and support with the growing caseload of SEND assessments, reviews, and phase transfers for a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This is an exciting interim opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process SEND assessments, reviews, and phase transfers
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and SEND Code of Practice
  • Write and update high-quality EHCPs
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and local authorities
  • Use Synergy reporting system (training provided)
  • Handle a high caseload while maintaining accuracy and empathy

 
Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a full SEN Case Officer role
  • Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice & statutory processes
  • Proven ability to work under high-pressure environments
  • Excellent EHCP plan writing skills
  • High level of empathy and ability to engage effectively with families
