They are flexible about on-site presence and happy to have a conversation about this and this role is likely to go on for 6/9 months.

This is an exciting newly created role, where you will be reporting into the Head of Housing Strategy and be responsible for creating and implementing a data governance framework, that align with a Local Authorities strategies and objectives to provide outstanding homes and housing services.

About the Data Governance Manager role:

  • Establishing data policies, processes, and standards and ensuring their effective implementation across the service.
  • Develop and implement effective data governance solutions tailored to meet the needs of the Housing Service, ensuring alignment with broader Council objectives.
  • Execute a comprehensive knowledge and information management strategy for the newly created Governance role.
  • Lead and work with multiple teams to wrap your arms around data governance and systems, to ensure create stronger assurance through data – the whole live cycle
  • Ensure improvements are carried out, mechanisms are put into place and report into regulatory when necessary.

Your previous experience as a Data Governance Manager:

  • Great technical knowledge and experience of Data Governance
  • Experience of housing management and asset management would be an advantage
  • Excellent communicator and the ability to work a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter who has experience of implementing new ideas, creating something new and bringing others with them to ensure this is implemented successfully
