Interim Children’s Service Auditor
3 months Interim Contract
£400 per day (Via Umbrella)
Inside IR35, Full Time
London Local Authority

  We are seeking three experienced Children’s Services Auditors for a 6-month interim contract to support a local authority in improving practice and preparing for Ofsted inspections. 

Key Responsibilities:
·       Conduct audits covering the full child’s journey, from Intervention and Frontline Services/Assessment to CLA & Care Leavers.
·       Perform dip sampling and thematic audits based on service needs.
·       Provide moderation of casework across Children’s Services.
·       Deliver constructive feedback, coaching, and support to social workers and leaders within Children’s Social Care.
·       Produce high-quality reports and communicate findings effectively at all levels. 

Requirements:
·       Social care qualification and substantial experience in auditing Children’s Services.
·       Strong knowledge of best practices, regulations, and Ofsted readiness.
·       Excellent report writing and communication skills.
·       Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders within Children’s Social Care.
·       Flexible hybrid working, with a minimum of two onsite days per month (ideally one per week).
