Reporting into the Principal Surveyor you will be responsible for driving several projects or work for the Local Authority.

About the Building Control Surveyor role:

• Site inspections, examination of compliance and dealing with a case load of Building Regulations submissions
• Advise applicants, builders, architects and other clients on design projects and fees
• Respond to all Building Control matters
• Safeguard the Authority’s interests in all financial transactions involving the post holder, while also supporting the evaluation and collection of fees and charges.

 
Your previous experience as a Building Control Surveyor:

• You will ideally have Class 3 or be working towards this
• Strong technical ability in term of Building regulations and able to navigate around British Standards
• Experience in a relevant building, construction or engineering environment
• Recent experience of a Building Control Surveyor within a Local Authority
