An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SEN Plan Writer within a Local Authority to assist the Education Department for an initial period of 3 months reporting into the SEND Manager.  The role will require you to complete all statutory assessment processes.
 
This a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Plan Writer to come into an experienced & established team and use their attributes and skills to complete the work required.
 
Interviews are happening W/C 29/05/22 with CVs being shortlisted this Friday (26/05/23).


Essential Skills & Abilities 
 

  • You will have Knowledge and understanding of the legislation relating to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Education system from 0 – 25 years.
  • Knowledge and understanding of recent developments in the field of SEN and Disabilities, and the education landscape and context.
  • Practical experience in a relevant field to include working with parents, families and education providers.

 
Job Role

  • You will focus on all areas of the assessment process including re-assessments, amendment and requests
  • You must work collaboratively with young people and the parents or carers of children and young people who have EHC plans from assessment through to decision to issue or decline to issue.
  • Working on LA databases including Synergy, ensuring all records are kept up to date and accurate.
