Bristol-based female entrepreneur, Charmaine Vincent, announced as a finalist at the National Business Women’s Awards

Charmaine Vincent, award-winning owner and CEO of Bristol based recruitment company, Baltimore Consulting, has been announced as a finalist at the 2021 National Business Women’s Awards.

Vincent is shortlisted in the Business of the Year (Medium) and Business Owner of the Year categories.

This category will honour inspiring innovators and visionaries, and judges are looking for exceptional quality and dedication.

Charmaine Vincent, of Baltimore Consulting, set up the business in 2013 to become the Senior Appointment and niche recruitment experts to the Public & Third Sector, with a passion for making a difference to people’s lives within the community.

CEO, Charmaine Vincent, states:

“I am absolutely delighted to have been recognised by these prestigious awards again, for the third year running. My story is simple. I’m a working mother with big dreams. I backed myself in 2013 and haven’t looked back. I show up every day and I’m not afraid to show my authentic self. Anything is possible”.

The business has been on an upward trajectory since founding but have truly come into their own after completing a management buyout in 2018, whereby CEO, Charmaine Vincent, took full ownership of Baltimore Consulting. Since then, the female entrepreneur has won multiple awards and has grown the business to what it is today whilst boasting a 95% staff retention rate.

In the last two months alone, Charmaine was awarded a silver medal for Businesswoman of the Year (medium) at the 2020 National Business Women’s Awards, and was then crowned Business Person of the Year at the SME National Business Awards.

A career defining moment, this win is significant, not only to Charmaine, but to all women in business fighting for gender equality and for their voices to be heard.

As a business, Baltimore Consulting are predominantly female; boasting a 40:60 ratio of male/female which is a rarity for any business, and completely unheard of within the male dominated recruitment industry.

Charmaine is extremely proud of how progressive this is for the wonderful world of the recruitment industry. She actively nurtures and develops talent and celebrates their successes, regardless of their gender identity.

The final of the National Business Women’s Awards will take place on 19th November in London.
