Board announcement: Baltimore Consulting promote award-winning trainer to Director of People

We’re delighted to announce that our current Head of Talent & Development, Louise Foster, has been promoted to Director of People.

Having been awarded “Most Inspiring Support Professional” at this year’s Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards in what was a career defining moment, Louise is integral to the business.

This is a significant promotion within the business; not only is this progression representative of our growth, but the business’ commitment to their employees. Her presence is known throughout the work environment and without her, Baltimore Consulting would be a very different place to work.

As an integral member of the Board and senior leadership team within Baltimore Consulting, Louise’s sheer optimism, and her genuity teamed with her sincerity has put her in prime position to lead from the front.

For her, it’s not just about recruitment; she genuinely cares about people and has an innate drive and passion to constantly upskill herself.

It’s no surprise that Louise has been described as “the best trainer in the industry” by many renowned recruitment professionals; she helps people achieve great things, and this is what makes her award-winning.

A full-time working mother, Louise exudes positivity, still seeing the glass as half full despite overcoming tremendous adversity throughout her life and career.

Over the last circa 25 years, Louise has been able to pass on her skills and experience to a new generation of recruiters; her passion from watching others learn, develop, and succeed from her training expertise stems from her innate ability to nurture those around her. It’s one thing training people to do their job effectively, but you know you have employed someone truly special when they feel that sheer elation when watching others flourish.

Commenting on the promotion, our CEO, Charmaine Vincent, states: “With over 25 years’ experience, Lou has contributed so much to the recruitment industry and been instrumental in developing some of the sectors very best talent. Her caring ethos and investment in people and their development has always been hugely aligned with Baltimore Consulting’s culture and values. Recently recognised as the most inspirational support professional in the UK, it’s clear that Lou’s reputation and dedication is highly regarded across the industry, and we honestly couldn’t be more proud. I have no doubt that Lou will truly excel in her new chapter as a director on the board, spearheading our people division.”

Baltimore Consulting’s Board of Directors is made up of voices from across the business. In 2020, at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, CEO, Charmaine Vincent, employed Natasha Clarke as a Board Advisor and DE&I champion for the business. This decision was made to ensure that the business continued to move in a positive direction, with the right skills and resources to support growth. Charmaine wanted to ensure that her employees felt valued during such a turbulent period of change.

On her promotion within the Board of Directors, Lou says: “I am beyond happy that I’ve finally landed the role I feel I was made for! This role will allow me to support the strategy of the business for everything ‘people’ related. It’s hugely important that we attract and develop the right hires, but also creating a culture and environment where people will flourish. I’m extremely proud to have reached this milestone and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Not as excited as we are!
