Baltimore Consulting partner with new Employee Assistance Programme and Wellbeing Platform

At Baltimore Consulting, we’ve consistently gone above and beyond for our employees whenever they’ve needed it, but there is always room for more. Our employees continued health and wellbeing, both mental and physical are extremely important to us as a business. Without our employees, Baltimore simply wouldn’t exist, let alone be successful.

1 in 6 employees suffer with some form of mental health condition? From anxiety, through to depression, work is the main cause of stress and mental illness for today’s workforce over any other factor.

As part of our continued commitment to our employees, we have launched a new and exciting partnership with Spectrum.Life; an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering free, confidential counselling and wellbeing support services that are available to all employees and their families.

The premise of Spectrum.Life’s EAP is to offer on-demand support, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Support services include:

  • Counselling
  • Legal information
  • Financial information
  • Consumer information
  • Career guidance
  • Life coaching
  • Mediation
  • Health information
  • Cancer support
  • Autism support
  • Infertility & pregnancy loss
  • Elder care support
  • Parent coaching
  • International employee support

It’s essential that we promote a positive view of mental health and we work hard to provide a safe space for employees, empowering them to use these services without judgement.

Additionally, Spectrum.Life gives employee’s access to hours of wellbeing content related to sleep, mental health, fitness and nutrition among other topics.

On this partnership with Spectrum.Life, Director of People and Mental Health First Aider, Louise Foster, states, “This new partnership is so important to the business on so many levels.

Having access to what is essentially ‘therapy in your pocket’, whether that be a quick phone call or a text, at any time of the day or night, with a trained therapist, is invaluable.

Our teams have reacted so positively to all of the other benefits it will bring to them.  From nutritional advice and recipes to home workouts, how to get better sleep, financial assistance, coaching and legal assistance.  It’s all there.  And for the savvy shoppers, a nice discount section for travel, tickets, retail sites, food and drink. I am confident that this platform will bring value to every team member and I’m already hearing great things!”

This announcement follows that of Baltimore Consulting’s integral partnership with local mental health charity, Bristol Mind. In March this year, a number of employees will be embarking on a half marathon challenge to raise vital funds for mental health services around Bristol, including the charity’s inaugural MindLine. Each year over 3,500 people call the emotional helpline for support with costs £25 for a 30-minute call that can save a life.

Baltimore Consulting work hard to ensure that employees are looked after. Aside from the on-demand therapy provided by Support Room, we also have two fully trained Mental Health First Aiders within the business who are on hand to support each and every one of our employees. Our leadership team are also currently undertaking life coaching sessions to allow them to put their best foot forward and be the very best versions of themselves.

Our story is truly unique, and we are proud of that. It’s part of our DNA.
