Are you a procurement professional with a sharp eye for value and a background in local authority housing? We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and contract management for our client’s Voids, Kitchens, and Bathrooms workstreams.

In this role, you won’t just be pushing paper; you’ll be ensuring that our residents have safe, modern, and high-quality homes. You’ll be at the heart of their supply chain, bridging the gap between technical requirements and commercial excellence.

About the Procurement Officer (Voids, Kitchens & Bathrooms) role:

As the specialist Procurement Officer, your focus will be on the end-to-end procurement cycle for housing maintenance and planned improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Management: Lead the procurement process for multi-million pound contracts, from initial scoping and OJEU/Find a Tender service compliance to final award.
  • Category Expertise: Manage the specific supply chains for kitchen and bathroom installations and the rapid-turnaround requirements of “void” (empty) property repairs.
  • Contract Management: Monitor KPIs and contractor performance to ensure high standards and social value delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Surveyors, Housing Managers, and Finance teams to align procurement activity with budgetary goals.

Your previous experience as a Procurement Officer (Voids, Kitchens & Bathrooms):

To hit the ground running, you must have:

  • Local Authority Experience: A deep understanding of public sector procurement regulations (PCR 2015/Procurement Act 2023) and standing orders.
  • Sector Knowledge: Proven experience in procuring building services, specifically within social housing or domestic repairs.
  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to evaluate complex tenders not just on price, but on quality, sustainability, and long-term value.
  • Communication Skills: You can translate “procurement speak” into clear, actionable advice for non-specialist colleagues.
