A Local Authority is seeking an experienced SEND Advisory Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting inclusive practice across mainstream education.
This senior leadership role is responsible for managing SEND Advisors and Specialist Teachers (including sensory support), ensuring high-quality early intervention for children and young people with SEND (0–25), and reducing reliance on statutory processes through strong SEN Support.
You will lead service delivery aligned to the local SEND and Alternative Provision strategy, support schools to meet a wide range of needs, and work closely with families, health, social care and the voluntary sector.
Key responsibilities
About you
You will be a qualified teacher with significant experience in SEND and a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Children & Families Act 2014. You will have experience of leading teams, delivering evidence-based SEND interventions, and working in partnership with schools and families to improve outcomes.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills are essential.
