Group Manager – Adolescent Safeguarding
London full-time (Hybrid working)
Initial 3 month interim contract
£50 per hour umbrella (35 hours per week)

An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Good London Borough for an experienced Manager within Adolescent Safeguarding whilst the team looks to appoint to a substantive post holder.
 The role sits within the Integrated Adolescent Safeguarding Service which includes Safe Space 11-17 year olds at risk of extra familial harm and the Youth Justice Service. The responses to children who go missing and affected by youth homelessness is also led within the service.
The group manager will be responsible for leading Safe Space, a double award winning service that has also been commended in recent OFSTED reports.
 
My client will be holding MS Teams interviews within the coming weeks to start ASAP  
 
About your duties as the Group Manager Adolescent Safeguarding:

  • Responsible for leading Safe Space which is the statutory safeguarding division of the service.
  • Taking referrals directly from MASH and provide post assessment support if required usually via CIN processes or CP if appropriate.
  • There is a small cohort of children in the service who are children looked after who are supported inline with CLA processes and legislation. 
  • To provide support, guidance and management of   operational line management reports.  Provide senior level management cover within the Service Unit or across the Division as required.     
  • Provide regular supervision and practice led feedback to ensure timely allocation and throughput is made for all children open to the Department 

 
Your experience needed as the Group Manager Adolescent Safeguarding:

  • Previous leadership of Adolescent or Edge of Care services at a Team Manager level or above
  • Proven track record in service delivery, partnership engagement and safeguarding/exploitation with adolescent & youth services
  • Social work qualification and active SWE registration
  • Must be able to demonstrable a clear understanding of what Good looks like, how to bring services forward
  • Available references for most recent 5 year’s roles
