An established public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to provide expert valuation and estates consultancy services across a varied property portfolio, including residential, commercial, and operational assets.

This interim role will support strategic property management, lease negotiations, asset valuations, and disposals. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the estate is managed efficiently and in compliance with statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver valuation and estate management services including lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals, and asset valuations
• Advise on planning applications, development schemes, and statutory transfers
• Prepare reports, briefings, and communications for internal and external stakeholders
• Represent the organisation in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and public inquiries
• Supervise and support junior staff, including those working toward professional qualifications
• Manage budgets, service charges, and rent arrears in line with policy
• Liaise with consultants, statutory bodies, and external agencies to support service delivery

Requirements:

• MRICS or FRICS qualification with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of property law, valuation standards, and public sector frameworks
• Experience in estate management, lease negotiations, and property disposals
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage projects, supervise staff, and contribute to strategic planning
• Proficiency in relevant IT and property management systems
