Principal Advisor for Early Years

We’re currently supporting a London borough in their search for a Principal Advisor for Early Years—a senior leadership role focused on shaping the future of early childhood education across the borough.
Key Details:

• Day Rate: £400–£500 (depending on experience)
• Location: London Borough – hybrid working 
• Contract Type: Full-time, Interim 
• Reports To: Director of Schools and Learning 
• Team Size: 50+ Early Years Advisors / Quality Team

This role requires proven management experience overseeing Early Years Advisors within a local authority, ideally at management or Head of Service level. The successful candidate will lead the borough’s Early Years Quality Improvement Strategy, oversee council-run nursery settings, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to drive quality, safeguarding, and inclusion.
