We are seeking an experienced ERP Implementation & Procurement Contract Manager to support a major ERP transformation programme for a local authority in the north west of the country. This role will be delivered in two phases: an initial 3-month contract specification phase, followed by a potential 16-month implementation phase.

Your Role as ERP Implementation & Procurement Contract Manager:

Phase One – Contract Specification (3 months):
• Finalise and manage the ERP supplier contract, including negotiations and drafting.
• Ensure compliance with CCS framework rules and procurement legislation.
• Lead end-to-end contracting activities from procurement outcome to contract signature.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, schedules, SLAs, pricing annexes, and change controls.
• Establish governance, invoicing, and performance reporting processes.
• Advise the ERP Programme Board on contractual and procurement matters.

Phase Two – Implementation Oversight (approx. 16 months):

• Oversee supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage contract variations, change requests, and dispute resolution.
• Support decommissioning of legacy systems and coordinate contract close-out.
• Conduct supplier service reviews and manage recurring payments.

Your Previous Experience as ERP Implementation & Procurement Contract Manager:

  • Extensive experience in IT/ERP contract management.
    • Proven track record in drafting and negotiating large-scale technology contracts.
    • Strong knowledge of CCS procurement rules and ERP commercial models.
    • Experience with SLA design, change control, and risk mitigation.
    • Understanding of ERP systems and their implementation lifecycle.
    • Experience in public sector or regulated environments (desirable).
    • Familiarity with CCS framework agreements (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Legal qualification or contract management certification (e.g., IACCM/WorldCC) – desirable.
    • CIPS membership or willingness to work towards it – desirable.

  • Expert negotiator with strong commercial acumen.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
    • Ability to translate complex legal terms into clear business language.
    • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on delivery and compliance.
