Reporting into the Director of Housing you’ll lead a diverse portfolio including housing strategy, IT systems, service transformation, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll be at the forefront of delivering the Local Authorities Housing Improvement Plan, ensuring our services are innovative, efficient, and truly customer-focused.

Your role as a Head of Housing Improvement and Strategy:

• Leading the development and implementation of their Housing Strategy and policies.
• Driving digital transformation and overseeing housing IT systems to enhance service delivery.
• Championing service improvement initiatives that put residents at the heart of everything we do.
• Ensuring compliance with social housing regulations, including Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
• Managing key teams and collaborating across the council to deliver outstanding landlord services for over 10,000 homes.
• Acting as a strategic advisor and deputy to the Director of Housing when required.

 
Your previous experience as a Head of Housing Improvement and Strategy:

• A senior leader with proven experience in social housing or local government.
• A strategic thinker with strong knowledge of housing law, policy, and regulation.
• A passionate advocate for customer service, digital innovation, and continuous improvement.
• A confident communicator and collaborator, able to influence at all levels.
• A qualified professional (e.g., CIH Level 5 or equivalent experience).
