Reporting into the Repairs Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality repairs. You will manage reports and deliver Damp and Mould specifications, supporting on compliance across the council’s properties, delivering excellent service to residents and stakeholders.

Your role as Repairs Surveyor:-

• Conduct property surveys to identify repair and maintenance needs.
• Manage reports, specifications, and cost estimates for planned works.
• Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with building regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, including damp and mould concerns.
• Liaise with residents, addressing complaints and ensuring service quality.
• Ensure all repairs meet health and safety standards.

Your previous experience as Repairs Surveyor:-

• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in building pathology and property maintenance.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in construction.
• Ability to provide witness statements for legal proceedings.
• Experience in lone building surveying within a relevant sector.

Qualifications:-

• Relevant building surveying degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (desirable).
• Full driving licence.
• Asbestos awareness training (Regulation 10 – COAR2006).
• SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
