Are you an experienced Social Worker, Advanced Practitioner, or Team Manager looking for your next professional challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join Somerset’s Children’s Advocacy and Independent Reviewing Service as a Child Protection Co-Ordinator.

This is a dynamic role that blends direct contact with children with strategic quality assurance activity, making it ideal for someone passionate about improving standards and advocating for children.

Your Role as Child Protection Co-Ordinator :

  • Oversee and review child protection plans to ensure they are effective and child-focused.
  • Lead quality assurance activities including practice evaluations, dip reviews, and feedback analysis.
  • Advocate for children through support, review, and challenge.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Improvement Team to drive service excellence.
  • Ensure children and young people have an independent voice in decisions affecting their lives.

Your previous experience as Child Protection Co-Ordinator:

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • At least 5 years post-qualifying experience in social work.
  • A strong understanding of child protection planning and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • A commitment to promoting the rights and wellbeing of children and young people
