Team Manager – Care Leavers

£300 per day, inside IR35
3 month contract initially

We are recruiting an experienced Team Manager to deliver high-quality services for children, young people, and families within a Local Authority setting in Yorkshire. The vision is for all children and young people in within the locality is to be safe and able to realise their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and help shape services that safeguard and support children and young people across the district.
 
Your Role

As Team Manager, you will:-

  • Lead and manage a team of Social Workers and Community Resource Workers.
  • Oversee statutory duties for children in need, those in need of protection, and children looked after.
  • Chair multi-agency planning meetings and ensure effective partnership working.
  • Allocate and manage staff resources, supervise and appraise team members.
  • Monitor performance, quality assure casework and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and positive approaches to diversity.

 
Your Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in social work.
  • Experience in child protection and care planning.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and procedures relevant to children’s social care.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-agency settings and manage budgets.
  • Enhanced DBS required and access to a car for work purposes.
