Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established in-house therapy team, supporting a highly valued Preventing Exclusions Pathway. This is a hands-on position where your expertise as a Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) will directly influence outcomes for children facing complex challenges in education and family life.
 
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will support children and young people across schools, community settings and alternative education provisions, helping them remain engaged in education and achieve their potential. This opportunity would particularly suit an experienced Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) who enjoys delivering interventions, modelling best practice and working closely with professionals on the ground.
 
Your Role as a Speech & Language Therapist (SLT):
• Deliver assessments and targeted interventions for children and young people
• Support the Preventing Exclusions Pathway through practical, outcome-focused therapy
• Work directly within schools, alternative provisions and community settings
• Model effective communication strategies and therapeutic approaches for education staff
• Collaborate with professionals supporting children with SEND and complex needs
 
Your Previous Experience as a Speech & Language Therapist (SLT):
• Qualified and experienced practitioner, not suitable for newly qualified candidates
• Strong background working with vulnerable children and young people
• Experience supporting children at risk of exclusion from education
• Knowledge of SEND environments and therapeutic interventions within educational settings
• Ability to work effectively with children and families experiencing complex circumstances
 
This contract is currently funded until the end of the financial year, with funding considered relatively secure and subject to future grant confirmation. Flexible working options are available, including full-time, part-time and job-share arrangements.
