Service Manager Youth Justice
Initial 5 month interim contract

£400 per day (umbrella) – scope of negotiation

An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority for an experienced Service Manager in Youth Justice whilst the team looks to appoint to a substantive post holder.

My client is looking for an experienced leader with expertise in Youth and Youth Justice services taking a key lead in the operational responsibilities and embedding changes following the social care reforms.

My client will be holding MS Teams interviews within the coming weeks to start ASAP

About your duties as the Service Manager Youth Justice

  • Operational and strategic oversight of the Youth Justice service including direct line management of Team Managers and their respective teams
  • You will work closely with commissioning and operational services to identify and develop new initiatives targeting reduction of repeat offenders and community youth services
  • You will be pivotal in ensure the service is inspection ready and aligned with the recent changes from social care reforms.

Your experience needed as the Service Manager Youth Justice

  • Previous leadership of Youth Justice services at a Service Manager or above
  • Proven track record in service delivery, partnership engagement and service improvement in an Youth Justice setting.
  • Must be able to demonstrable a clear understanding of what Good looks like, how to bring services forward
  • Must hold a valid enhanced DBS or be able to undertake a new one
  • Available references for most recent 5 year’s roles
