Senior Manager – Contextual Safeguarding

Contextual Safeguarding Service Manager
3-month interim contract minimum
North West England, full-time, 2-3 days per week on site
Up to £400/day Inside IR35
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in North West England for a Senior Contextual Safeguarding Consultant with subject knowledge around CSE and Missing Children also. You will report to the Head of MASH, Duty, Contextual Safeguarding and Youth Justice and the key focus of this role will be to manage the Social Work teams for the service area.
 
About your duties as the Service Manager – Contextual Safeguarding: 

• Aiding the Council in their improvement journey
• Working alongside other senior managers and Heads of Service, you will also drive forward the quality practice being fostered by the team
• Attend weekly risk meetings, evaluation of application of thresholds
• You must be able to use Positive engagement using a strengths-based leadership style to develop the service
• The teams consist of Social Workers, Youth Workers, Parent Workers, Clinical Psychologists and Mentors. They also work with the Police and Exploitation hubs

Your experience needed as the Service Manager – Contextual Safeguarding: 

• A solid understanding around Children’s Contextual Safeguarding, Exploitation and Practice Improvement.
• You will need to hold knowledge of social work practice but also how this is specifically applied to CSE, Missing children and Exploitation
• Ability to clearly evaluate and demonstrate steps required to achieve Good within service area
• Social Work Qualification is essential for the post
