Job Title: Senior Development Manager – Housing Development Programme
Location: London
Working Arrangements: Hybrid (1–2 days per week on-site/office-based, with flexibility)
Contract: 6 Month Initially

Day Rate: £600 per day (Via Umbrella)

We are seeking a Senior Development Manager to take ownership of major housing development projects, including Meridian Water Phases 1 and 2, contributing to the Council’s ambitious housing delivery objectives.
About the Role

Join a vibrant, forward-thinking Housing Development Team that plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the borough’s housing landscape. As part of the Council’s strategic Housing Revenue Account (HRA) portfolio, the team leads borough-wide housing development projects and partnerships, driving the corporate housing development programme to deliver over 3,500 new affordable homes by 2029.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of major housing projects, with a focus on Meridian Water Phases 1 and 2.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scheme development and procurement of delivery partners.
  • Drive regeneration initiatives that deliver wider socio-economic benefits.
  • Commission and manage internal and external technical resources to support project delivery.
  • Promote regeneration projects to enhance their regional and national profile.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including residents, businesses, senior officers, and elected members.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading complex housing development and regeneration projects.
  • Skilled in negotiating development agreements and professional appointments.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing capital and revenue budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and present findings to decision-makers.
