3-month interim contract (with potential extension)

Remote working (occasional on-site attendance for training/meetings)
£200 p/day (Inside IR35 via umbrella)
Enhanced DBS (Children’s & Adults Barred List) required

Baltimore Consulting are working with a proactive Local Authority to appoint a SEND Tribunal Assistant to support the effective management and administration of SENDIST appeals. This role is key to ensuring that all legal deadlines are met and that case preparation is compliant with Tribunal procedures.
 
Your Role as the SEND Tribunal Assistant:

  • Support the registration, tracking, and administration of SENDIST appeals.
  • Ensure all tribunal documentation and deadlines are managed in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Provide timely administrative support to Tribunal Officers.
  • Liaise effectively with internal services, external agencies, and families.
  • Maintain accurate records and case tracking systems.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, policy changes, and Tribunal procedures, and share updates with relevant staff.

 
Your experience as a SEND Tribunal Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a SEND or legal admin role (within a Local Authority).
  • Understanding of the SENDIST appeal process is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident working independently in a remote setting.
  • Enhanced DBS (Children’s & Adults Barred List) required.
  • References covering the last 3 years of employment must be available upon request.
