SEND Team Manager
Initial 3‑month contract – Immediate start
£450 p/day
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working – 1 day p/week on site

Are you ready to step into a role where your leadership directly shapes the futures of children and young people? As a SEND Team Manager, you’ll lead a skilled team of up to 12 officers, driving quality, performance, and statutory compliance across a high‑impact service.
You’ll be the voice of best practice, the champion of inclusive education, and the central decision‑maker in key SEND processes. If you want autonomy, pace, and the chance to influence outcomes on a system‑wide level, this role will excite you.
 
Your Role as SEND Team Manager:

  • Champion child‑centred and inclusive practice, ensuring children and families remain at the heart of decision‑making.
  • Lead and develop a team of SEND officers, driving quality, performance and statutory compliance.
  • Chair key SEND decision‑making panels, shaping outcomes and ensuring robust, timely processes.
  • Use data and quality assurance to improve performance, outcomes, and service impact.
  • Collaborate across multi‑agency environments, influencing partners and strengthening inclusive practice.

 
Your Experience as a SEND Team Manager:

  • Strong background working with children, young people and families, ideally within SEND.
  • Proven experience leading teams or complex projects with high‑quality outcomes.
  • In‑depth knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Ability to work across multi‑agency partnerships, building influential relationships.
  • Skilled in problem‑solving, data analysis and delivering improvements in fast‑paced environments
