SEND Team Manager
Interim – 3 Months Initially (Possible Extension)
North West England
Hybrid Working  – 1 Day on Site a week
£450 per day – Inside IR35 (via umbrella)

 CVs are being reviewed this month with interviews taking place in beginning of March for an April start.

You will lead SEND teams to ensure high‑quality service delivery, statutory compliance, and strong multi‑agency collaboration across education, health, and social care.

 
Your Role as SEND Team Manager

  • Lead and support SEND teams to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Oversee statutory processes, including EHCP quality and operational performance.
  • Apply strong SEND practice knowledge to complex casework and service challenges.
  • Drive performance, manage priorities, and maintain high standards across the service.
  • Build effective partnerships with schools, health, social care, and wider stakeholders.
  • Contribute to service improvement, policy development, and strategic projects.

Your Previous Experience

  • Experience working with children, young people, and families, within SEND.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Previous SEND Management experience in a local authority setting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, analyse complex information, and communicate clearly.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multi‑agency environments.
