This local authority is looking for an experienced SEND Case Officer to hold a case load.  

Key Responsibilities of a SEND Case Officer:

  • Offer support and expert advice to young individuals, their families, and educational institutions throughout the statutory assessment process.
  • Manage and process Annual Review documentation.
  • Prepare, revise, and update EHCP’s.
  • Maintain and take full responsibility for your assigned caseload.

Required Experience for the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a caseload.
  • In-depth understanding of SEND code of practice and legislation.
  • Prior experience working within a Local Authority in a case officer capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the education system for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years.
  • Experience working with EOTAS.
