We have an excellent opportunity working with a Local Authority within the Midlands as a SEND Tribunal Officer to support the team as they work through a number of complaints and tribunal cases. This is a busy council looking for support with someone ready for a fast-paced environment that can hit the ground running.

Your Role as SEND Tribunal Officer:
 

• To represent the Council in SEND Tribunal appeals.
• Drafting the LA’s response to appeals .
• To take responsibility for advising parents, schools, colleges and providers in implementing SEND decisions.
• To manage and oversee the whole Tribunal and Appeals process for young people from 0 up to age 25.

Your previous experience as a SEND Tribunal Officer:
 

• Must have previous experience presenting.
• Have experience of mediation and prevention.
• Knowledge of the SEND Tribunal process, able to write case statements.
• Expert knowledge on SEND legislation.
