Human Resources Manager (Schools)
6 Month Contract | September 2026 Start
£400-£450 Per Day North West of England
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid Working

Reporting to the Head of Schools HR Team, you’ll provide expert advice to Headteachers and Governors on complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Manager (Schools) to make an immediate impact across a diverse portfolio of schools.   

Your Role as Human Resources Manager (Schools):  

• Manage complex ER casework, including conduct, capability, attendance and safeguarding matters.
• Lead on restructures, organisational change and workforce planning.
• Build trusted relationships with Headteachers, Governors and senior leaders.
• Deliver HR training, policy development and advice.
• Support investigations, hearings and employee relations matters.  

Your Previous Experience as a Human Resources Manager (Schools):  

• CIPD qualified or equivalent senior HR experience.
• Strong background managing complex employee relations cases.
• Experience working with trade unions and employee representatives.
• Knowledge of employment law, policy development and organisational change.
• Previous experience within education or schools HR environments is highly desirable.
