Safeguarding Quality Assurance Manager

Location: North West (Hybrid Working)
Rate: £400 – £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3–6 Months Initially
Working Pattern: Hybrid 
A Local Authority in the North West is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Quality Assurance Manager to lead its quality assurance and safeguarding oversight function. This strategic interim role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards across children’s social care and safeguarding services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop quality assurance activity across safeguarding and children’s social care
  • Oversee multi-agency arrangements for child protection and looked-after children
  • Manage the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) service
  • Provide robust analysis and reporting to support service improvement and inspection readiness

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with substantial experience in safeguarding and quality assurance leadership
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance (including Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Public Law Outline)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvement through audit, performance analysis, and multi-agency stakeholder engagement
