Interim Resolutions & Tribunal Manager

£460 per day (Umbrella) – Inside IR35

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resolutions & Tribunal Manager to join a Local Authority SEND service on an interim basis. This is a fantastic chance to step into a newly forming team, help shape its direction, and provide strong leadership during a period of development and change.
 
About the Role: You will be responsible for managing and supporting a small but growing team, providing expert oversight across resolutions, mediations, and tribunal activity. With new permanent staff joining the service, this role offers the opportunity to embed good practice, build confidence, and ensure high‑quality case handling from day one.
 
Your role as the Resolutions & Tribunal Manager:

  • Lead, train, and support a newly formed team (2 Resolution Officers, 1 Assistant, 1 Information Manager)
  • Attend and represent the service at complex tribunal hearings
  • Provide expert advice on mediations and dispute resolution within SEND
  • Shape processes, strengthen practice, and support the team’s development
  • Work collaboratively with wider SEND leadership to drive service improvements

 
Your experience as a Resolutions & Tribunal Manager:

  • Strong experience within SEND tribunals, mediations, and dispute resolution
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop staff
  • Excellent understanding of SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities
  • Ability to work onsite 2 days per week
  • Someone who can start as soon as possible
