  • Ensure the home complies with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.
  • Create a safe, stable environment where children feel valued and understood.
  • Develop and oversee robust care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Lead and inspire a motivated staff team through supervision, coaching, and professional development.
  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
  • Build positive relationships with external professionals, families, and local authorities.
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, reporting, and home development plans.
  • Ensure safeguarding is embedded in the home’s culture and practice.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a Children’s Residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and trauma‑informed care.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a staff team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision‑making skills.
  • A commitment to achieving high standards and positive outcomes for young people.

Desirable:

  • Experience leading a home through Ofsted inspections.
  • Understanding of therapeutic or attachment‑based models.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance‑related incentives.
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.
  • Supportive senior leadership team and reflective practice culture.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation.
  • Employee wellbeing support and enhanced benefits.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.

If you are a passionate leader with a deep commitment to improving the lives of children, we would love to hear from you. This is more than a management position—it’s the chance to shape a home, a team, and a young person’s future.
