Join a proactive London Borough as an Interim Registered Building Inspector Class 2, delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality building control services. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact across a varied caseload, working closely with developers, contractors, and internal teams to uphold regulatory standards and drive service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and determine building regulation applications in line with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance and advise on remedial actions.
  • Investigate unauthorised works and take appropriate enforcement action.
  • Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Support continuous improvement of the Building Control service and contribute to wider development goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • In-depth knowledge of building regulations and associated legislation, with experience in Local Authority environments.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
  • Must be a Registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator – Minimum Class 2A.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CABE, CIOB) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
