Baltimore Consulting are working with a London based Local Authority in their search for an experience public health professional so support them programme management capacity, that will focus on leading on the procurement of the councils health visiting service.

Your duties for this position:

  • Working with the Associate Director of Public Health and the Programme Lead for Maternity & Early Years, you will operate in a senior capacity within the public health directorate, focusing on the procurement of the councils health visiting service and FNP.
  • The main deliverables of the position will be working with internal and external partners on the service specification and building on all the preparator work including evaluation and the health needs assessment.
  • You will lead on the procurement of the service, whilst working alongside and being supported by the wider procurement team.

 
Experience needed for this role:

  • The successful candidate will come from an established public health background within a local authority setting, having past experience on leading on large procurements.
  • Ideally you will have health visiting commissioning experience, in order to ensure that the service specification being delivered will meet the needs of the public, in line with national guidance.
  • Be a strong communicator with an understanding of other public sector organisations cultures, structures and policies.
  • Able to provide minimum two years worth of references.
