We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to support a major transformation within its Property Services team.

This is a pivotal role during a transition year, as the service evolves and prepares its strategic delivery plan for the next financial year.

About the Surveyor role:

  • Carry out validation work across HRA capital programmes, including kitchens, bathrooms, and external works.
  • Work closely with ODS (Operational Delivery Services)to ensure accurate financial charging and rectify historic inconsistencies.
  • Support the development of a newly formed property services structure, contributing to long-term service improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and quality across capital delivery.
  • Assist in shaping the future delivery model, with next year’s plan expected to be in place by October.

 
Your previous experience as a surveyor:

  • Strong experience in capital works validation, particularly within housing repair and improvement programmes.
  • Understanding of HRA funding and financial accountability within local authority settings.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A collaborative mindset to support change and transformation across the wider property services function.
