Are you an experienced Programme Manager looking to play a pivotal role in one of the most significant Local Government Reorganisation programmes in the country? This is an opportunity for a high-calibre Programme Manager to lead complex systems transition activity that will directly support the successful launch of new authorities from Vesting Day. Reporting into the LGR Workstream Lead, you will operate at the heart of a major transformation programme, coordinating multiple stakeholders, suppliers, IT teams and service areas to ensure critical systems are transitioned safely, legally and effectively.
As a Programme Manager, you will bring structure, leadership and pace to a highly visible programme environment, driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and ensuring key milestones are delivered against challenging timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for a Programme Manager who thrives in complex environments and enjoys influencing senior stakeholders without direct line management responsibility.
Your Role as Programme Manager:
• Lead service systems transition plans and implementation roadmaps across multiple workstreams.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, coordinating service leads, SMEs, Business Analysts, technical specialists and suppliers.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and RAID logs, ensuring programme delivery remains on track.
• Oversee system readiness assessments, governance reporting and assurance activities.
• Monitor delivery schedules, milestones, resources and budgets to achieve successful programme outcomes.
Your Previous Experience as Programme Manager:
• Significant experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes, projects or organisational change initiatives.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams within a matrix management environment.
• Strong experience managing budgets, governance frameworks, risks and dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, suppliers and partners.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, with project or programme management qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2 or APM highly desirable.
