As a Senior Specialist / Advisor, you will work closely with senior leadership, providing expert advice on key priorities, driving innovation, and leading critical projects that deliver measurable impact for residents and stakeholders. This opportunity offers the chance to shape strategic direction, influence decision-making, and work across a wide range of services and partnerships. 

Your Role as Programme Manager:

• Provide strategic advice and specialist expertise to senior leaders, supporting the development and implementation of key policies and strategies.
• Drive service improvement, business planning, budget management and performance delivery to ensure high-quality and value-for-money outcomes.
• Lead and influence stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships across partners, communities and elected members.
• Support and deliver cross-organisational projects and priorities, managing resources and teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Act as an ambassador for strategic priorities, representing the organisation and promoting innovation and continuous improvement. 

Your previous experience as Programme Manager:

• Strong experience providing strategic leadership and professional advice within a complex public sector or local government setting.
• Proven track record of policy development, service transformation and performance improvement.
• Experience of working effectively with senior stakeholders, elected members and partner organisations.
• Demonstrable success in leading major projects, programmes or cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery, ensuring tangible outcomes are achieved.
