Baltimore Consulting are currently working with a North London based Local Authority to appoint an interim PfA Manager to lead their Preparing for Adulthood function. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to step into a well-established and collaborative team.
 
Your Role as the PfA Manager:

• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the PfA team, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Collaborate with schools, post-16 education and training providers, and wider stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for young people with SEND.
• Deliver on key service priorities and statutory responsibilities related to preparing for adulthood.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the Senior Officer and wider team.
• Maintain excellent communication across education, health, and care sectors.
• Ensure all work is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.

 
Your experience as a PfA Manager:

• Significant experience working within PfA or 0–25 SEND services, ideally at management or senior officer level.
• In-depth understanding of SEND legislation, statutory frameworks, and the PfA pathways.
• A collaborative, positive approach, someone who can fit into a supportive team culture.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo a new check.
• References covering the last 3 years of employment must be available upon request.
