Operations Manager – Adult Mental Health
3-month initial contract
South Coast
£450 per day
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working (only 1 day per month onsite)

Recruiting on behalf of a respected local authority, we’re currently seeking an experienced and proactive Manager to lead adult mental health services. This is a Service Manager level opportunity reporting into the Head of Service, providing a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping service delivery and driving improvements across a vital area of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly data meetings, focusing on waiting lists and core assessments to support effective service planning.
• Work collaboratively with the peer Operations Manager to manage activity and flow across duty services.
• Take the lead on Independent Management Reviews, ensuring thorough oversight and follow-up.
• Oversee caseload management across managers and senior practitioners, ensuring consistency and accountability.
• Manage HR-related matters including staffing, performance, and workforce planning.
• Lead on the Safeguarding Service Plan, ensuring alignment with statutory duties and best practice.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in adult mental health services within a local authority or similar public sector environment.
• Proven leadership and operational management experience.
• Solid understanding of safeguarding, HR processes, and service improvement.
• Confident in data analysis and performance monitoring.
• Collaborative, organised, and solutions-focused.
