Interim Service Manager Quality Assurance Child

Job Title: Interim Service Manager – QA / IRO / CP Chair
 
Location:  Hybrid – 2–3 days per week on-site – South West of England (ideally Tuesdays for team meetings)
Day Rate: £450 per day
Contract: Initial 3 months (extension likely pending perm recruitment)
Start Date: ASAP
 
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Service Manager to oversee the Quality Assurance function with a particular focus on IRO services and Child Protection Chairs. You’ll provide leadership across a critical part of our safeguarding infrastructure, with a key role in preparation for Ofsted and the delivery of a robust QA framework during a time of transformation.
 
Your role as a Interim Service Manager – QA/IRO/CP Chair:

• Strategic and operational oversight of the IRO/CP Chair service
• Line manage and support QA staff
• Drive quality and consistency across safeguarding practice
• Lead on audit, service development, and improvement plans
• Report directly to Head of QA
   

Essential Skills as an Interim Service Manager – QA/IRO/CP Chair

• Social Work qualified with current SWE registration
• Experience managing IROs or CP Chairs (preferably has done the role)
• Previous experience within an RI or Inadequate Ofsted-rated authority
• Enhanced DBS (current)
• Immediate availability
