Are you a visionary leader with a passion for people, culture, and customer experience? Baltimore Consulting are seeking a Director of People to join a Northwest based LA that will play a pivotal role in driving workforce strategies, shaping organisational culture, and delivering exceptional customer experiences as part of the Senior Management Team.
As Director of People, you will:

  • Lead the Council’s Workforce Strategy, focusing on workforce planning, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee HR, OD, and Customer Services, ensuring high-quality service delivery and performance improvements.
  • Shape and embed a supportive and inclusive culture that aligns with the Council’s Corporate Plan and transformation goals.
  • Develop innovative approaches to talent management, retention, and future-proofing workforce practices.
  • Champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion as a statutory responsibility and organisational priority.
  • Provide strategic advice to Members and senior management on workforce and customer engagement strategies.

We’re looking for an inspiring leader with:

  • Extensive HR and organisational development experience, ideally with a Level 7 CIPD qualification.
  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, talent management, and cultural transformation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • A track record of success in customer experience enhancement and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to creating a positive organisational culture and promoting equality and diversity.
