As Inclusion Lead, you will be reporting into senior education leadership and holding accountability for some of the most complex and vulnerable cases. You will be trusted to make decisions, influence partners and shape pathways that keep children and young people engaged in education. This is a role with pace, purpose and real impact – ideal if you thrive on ownership, collaboration and outcomes.

You will take the lead on individual learner cases, ensuring timely, joined‑up interventions that prevent exclusion and disengagement. Your influence will stretch across education, safeguarding and alternative provision, ensuring every plan is meaningful, inclusive and focused on long‑term success. If you are motivated by giving young people a voice and creating pathways that work, this is a contract you’ll want to secure quickly.

Your role as Inclusion Lead:

  • Case management leadership, coordinating multi‑agency input for learners at risk
  • Personalised pathway planning built around strengths, aspirations and progression
  • Oversight of alternative provision, ensuring quality placements and recognised outcomes
  • Multi‑agency collaboration, contributing to TAC meetings, PEPs and safeguarding forums
  • Attendance and engagement monitoring, intervening early to prevent drop‑off

Your previous experience as an Inclusion Lead:

  • Strong knowledge of Children Looked After and/or Early Years frameworks
  • Clear understanding of SEND, safeguarding and statutory duties
  • Proven case management and coordination skills across complex systems
  • Excellent communication, influencing professionals and engaging families
  • Commitment to inclusive education and lifelong learning outcomes

This Inclusion Lead opportunity offers immediate responsibility, visibility with senior stakeholders and the chance to make a measurable difference from day one. Reviews will be held early in the contract, with the potential to extend for the right person.
