£58.66 per hour (inside IR35)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking local authority in the South West, seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex and high-value transport and highways projects. This is a pivotal role within the Project & Programme Delivery Team, managing a portfolio of strategic infrastructure initiatives that shape the region’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of transport and highways projects up to £30m.
• Manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts and procurement processes.
• Oversee internal teams and external contractors, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality.
• Act as the key liaison for stakeholders including statutory bodies, elected members, and the public.
• Translate complex technical information into accessible documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across infrastructure delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong contract management skills (NEC suite).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and matrix manage specialists.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on value for money and public benefit.
