Head of Leisure Operations

6‑month contract
Day rate: £700 per day
(inside IR35 via umbrella)
4–5 days per week on site
North West England – Hybrid working

You’ll lead multi‑site operational teams, oversee significant budgets, and play a pivotal part in strengthening community wellbeing through high‑impact sport and physical activity programmes. A brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in senior operational leadership and wants to make a visible difference fast.

Your Role as Interim Head of Leisure Operations:

• Strategic leadership across leisure operations and physical activity services
• Operational oversight of leisure centres, pools and sports facilities
• Compliance ownership including health & safety and safeguarding
• Commercial performance – driving income, utilisation and efficiency
• Leadership & culture – developing teams and leading service improvement

Your Experience as Interim Head of Leisure Operations:

• Senior leadership across leisure operations or complex frontline services
• Experience managing multi‑site leisure estates
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Demonstrable success leading large operational teams
• Track record delivering service improvement or transformation
