This is a rare and high‑profile opportunity to step into a transformational leadership role with real scale, influence and visibility. As Head of Housing Works, you will report directly into the Director, taking ownership of a large in‑house delivery service of over 400 staff and an annual budget of circa £33m.

You will be trusted to stabilise, modernise and drive performance across repairs, maintenance, compliance and planned works for a significant housing portfolio.

Joining at the point where a newly designed structure moves from concept into delivery, you will have the opportunity to shape culture, standards and ways of working from the ground up, leaving a legacy that delivers consistent, high‑quality outcomes for residents.

Your role as Head of Housing Works:

• Lead a large direct labour organisation and supply chain, ensuring safe, compliant and value‑for‑money delivery
  • Drive performance, productivity and planning, embedding a right‑first‑time culture
  • Act as an intelligent supplier, translating commissioning priorities into effective operational delivery
  • Lead service modernisation, making best use of data, systems and mobile working
  • Build strong leadership capability and accountability across management teams

Your experience as Head of Housing Works:

• Proven senior leadership of a large, complex operational service
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including supply chain management
  • Demonstrable success in turnaround, improvement and change programmes
  • Ability to lead through others, creating resilient and high‑performing teams
  • Confident communicator able to influence across organisational boundaries
