We are currently working with a Council in the South West of England that are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor. You will have experience working with a local authority and have a thorough understanding of managing property portfolios, including valuation, lease negotiation, rent review, property acquisition, and disposal.

Your role as Estates Surveyor:

  • Act independently and proactively to take cases forward and achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Prepare business cases to deliver financially sustainable property solutions aligned with the council’s priorities.
  • Draft heads of terms and coordinate with legal teams on transfers, sales, leases, and collaborative agreements, including Joint Ventures.

 
Your previous experience as Estates Surveyor: 

  • Qualified MRICS or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Property Management, Landlord & Tenant (L&T) matters, valuation, and general property experience.
  • RICS qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Local Authority experience
