Your Role as Director of Health & Adult Social Care Commissioning:

  • Lead integrated commissioning strategy across health and social care
    • Drive system-wide transformation aligned to Health & Wellbeing priorities
    • Hold accountability for pooled and integrated budgets
    • Ensure high‑quality, person‑centred services that promote independence
    • Build powerful cross‑sector partnerships to deliver joined‑up care

Your Experience as Director of Health & Adult Social Care Commissioning:

  • Senior-level leadership in adult social care commissioning
    • Proven ability to deliver value-for-money, population‑focused services
    • Deep understanding of statutory responsibilities and safeguarding
    • Successful track record in integrated health & care system leadership
    • Expertise in contract management, improvement and performance delivery

 
As the Director of Health & Adult Social Care Commissioning, you’ll shape the culture, priorities, and operational effectiveness of a major social care system, ensuring robust performance, strong financial stewardship, and ambitious continuous improvement. You will work with partners across health, local government and the voluntary sector, champion innovation, and lead a high-performing workforce. This role also includes deputising at the corporate level and contributing to emergency planning and strategic collaboration across the organisation.
